    Know a good lawyer??

My family had an accident over the weekend in KY. I don't know of anyone who is a lawyer over there, and was hoping that someone here on the board would know of someone. Any suggestions??

Yeah it didn't happen at a high speed, Mom's pretty bruised, but everyone's fine. A woman ran a red light and T-boned them in the driver's side. The problem is that she is saying that Dad ran the red light, when his was green and had been for a few seconds. It's looking more and more like we are going to have to fight home cooking on this one and don't know anyone from the area.
What made matter worse is that they were coming from a funeral dressed in suits and dress clothes and the people that hit them looked like they had stepped off the set of Deliverance.

Best bet is to contact a local lawyer, and see if they know anybody there.

Most of them have friends or friends of friends from law school who practice around.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Well that is what I have done and I am waiting on a call from a couple of ppl, just thought I would put something on here and if I got a good reccomendation from someone on here and from a friend of mine, then I would more than likely go with them.

BostonKisses cousin is a lawyer over there. Where did the accident happen, he covers Wolf and Breathit counties.

You mentioned the home cooking scenario. My parents and my sister had the same thing happen to them in Lexington and the cop didn't write any tickets at all but did say that appeared to be the other woman's fault and even had witness' that confirmed she ran the light

    Re: Know a good lawyer??

If you look around locally you may find some lawyers in Wise or Dickenson Co. who are members of the KY and VA bars. It is common for lawyers who live in one state but really close to another to be licensed in both states. I also recommend asking local lawyers you may know or whose rep you know for referrals- it works much better than pulling a name at random out of the phone book. I hope it works out for your parents!
